Leave your sensible side on the shoreline. The Flux V3 is the fastest single-surface wing Ozone has ever built. It delivers race-level speed without the high-modulus price tag or fragility, built for speed-hungry intermediate and advanced riders chasing pure freeride fluidity and big, easy airs. Naturally driving forward and tracking relentlessly upwind, it gives you rock-solid control at high speed. Stronger, lighter and more reactive, a Flux V3 session is all about locking in and going out for a rip.
"The Flux has always represented the pinnacle of single-canopy performance in the Ozone range, and the V3 raises the bar. We poured insights from our ultra-fast Fusion double-surface design directly into a rugged Dacron airframe. If you love a sporty, direct-feeling wing, the Flux V3 is built for you."
— Connor Bainbridge, Ozone Wing Designer
What's New in the V3
- All-new rigid carbon boom — a zero-movement, stitched-in base plate replaces the slot handle system, so the wing reacts the instant you move the boom
- Re-engineered airfoil — a refined centre profile gives consistent, reassuring front-hand pressure and eliminates front-stalling through tacks and gybes
- Thinner profile, broader wind range — especially towards the tips, for effortless pumping in light air and comfortable control as the wind builds
- Fusion-derived performance in Dacron — bridges the gap to Ozone's Fusion V3 race wing, with the toss-it-in-the-car toughness you need for everyday sessions
- Hybrid Teijin canopy — 5×5 ripstop on the main canopy and 3×3 ripstop on high-load front panels, so it holds its factory-fresh shape season after season
Performance
- Speed and upwind — the fastest single-skin wing in the Ozone range and a master of upwind performance
- Effortless low end — broader drive makes pumping up onto foil easy in light air
- Huge top-end control — reduced drag lets you hold on as the wind increases, so one size covers a massive wind range
- Smooth transitions — constant front-hand pull and lift at the front for confident tacks and gybes. The wing glides overhead and is happy to rest there while you switch sides
- Big, easy airs — speed and stability make it a powerful weapon for sending it, with excellent lift on the glide down
"I've tested the Flux V3 in some really tough, gusty conditions and was still able to comfortably carry 31 knots of speed on my freeride 600 front wing. The stiffness feels similar to what you get from an Aluula airframe."
— Mathis Ghio, 5× World Racing Champion
Flux V3 or Flow V2?
The Flux V3's longer planform allows higher flying speeds and more top-end control. It's a lock-and-load speed machine for riders who want to ride fast foils with loads of power. The Flow V2 is easier to ride with more low-end grunt, and its swept tips feel more playful and wave-focused, making it the better pick for less experienced riders.
Carbon Boom System
- Zero-movement connection — eliminates span-wise and chord-wise play for instant feedback
- Textured EVA grip for maximum traction
- Moulded EVA bumper protects your board and head, and allows a natural "pistol grip" position
- Streamlined strut — the boom's stiffness allowed extra handle reinforcements to be removed, for a lighter, more aerodynamic strut
- Consistent feel across the range — higher grade carbon on longer booms, so the 5.7m feels as stiff and direct as the 3.0m
Design Details
- Teijin Triple Ripstop Dacron airframe — exceptional rigidity, stability and long-term durability
- Anti-flap rigid battens (6 on larger sizes, 4 on smaller) virtually eliminate trailing edge flutter
- Stiff leading edge de-power/surf handle with soft knuckle padding, for total control when flagging out on a wave or swell
- High-visibility windows either side of the strut for a clear view downwind
- Direct Connect strut, horizontal canopy panels and overlap flat seams for optimum canopy tension and a clean profile
- Reinforced trailing edge with internal Dyneema line, plus reinforced leading edge and strut
- Fast Flow air valves on the leading edge and strut for quick inflation, deflation and packing
- Low-profile aerodynamic scuff pads — protection without the drag
